Review:

Michael Fairley has been writing and speaking about label materials, label technology and label applications for more than twenty-five years, both as founder and editor of Labels & Labeling and as an international consultant writing label industry market and technology research reports for the likes of Frost & Sullivan, Economist Intelligence Unit, Pira and Labels & Labeling Consultancy. He has been a speaker at more than 350 conferences and seminars.

He is also the author of various textbooks, training manuals and information handbooks for the printing, paper and packaging industries and has additionally been a key contributor to three international encyclopedias, including the Encyclopedia of Packaging Technology and the Encyclopedia of Occupational Health & Safety.

He now works as a consultant to Tarsus Group plc – which organizes and runs the worldwide Labelexpo shows and publishes Labels & Labeling – as well as regularly speaking at international conferences around the world.

About the author:

I read carefully the Encyclopedia of Labels written by Mike Fairley.

At last, we have a comprehensive reference resource to de-mystify the jargon.

For a supply manager of label, this type of book is a great enabler to communicate properly with the converters, especially if someone is new in the job (which is often the case). We all know that the basis of a good communication are to articulate properly and simply a concept and to put the same meaning behind the same word.

Mike has used all his extensive knowledge and experience to give clear and understandable manual on labels: the definitions are clear and the diagrams convey the right message.

I am recommending it to my global team and to my innovation colleagues around the world.

Mike - Well done. Again.
