Expanded Digital Summit to return to Barcelona in June
Following the success of the first Digital Label Summit and the Digital Label Experience at Labelexpo Europe in 2009, the organizers of the Labelexpo Global Series have announced that the Digital Label Summit 2010 will take place from the 29-30 of June at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I in Barcelona.
With a conference and table-top exhibition, the Digital Label Summit 2010 will feature strong educational content. The conference will include industry experts presenting case studies and participating in panels that will explore new technologies and applications for digital printing of labels, tickets/tags and flexible packaging. It will also assess opportunities for combination printing. Brand owners will be invited to talk about their experience of digitally printed labels and packs and their expectations for the future developments.
Exhibitors will include machine manufacturers of liquid-toner, dry-toner and inkjet technologies as well as suppliers of multiple substrates, pre-press origination, digital plate-making and die-cutting, digital proofing and all ancillary products.
Mike Fairley, director of strategic development for
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, commented: ‘Digital printing has really excelled over the last year. With a number of UV inkjet presses being launched and installed since the last Digital Label Summit in 2009, it is clear that the industry’s interest and demand for this technology will continue to grow at a very fast rate.’
